Surah 113
Daybreak
Al-Falaq 🌄
This beautiful prayer asks for divine protection against the hidden evils of the world, including the dark of night, secret malice, and the corrosive damage of jealousy. Its title comes from the first verse, which commands the believer to seek refuge with the Lord of daybreak.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
1Say [Prophet], “I seek refuge with the Lord of daybreak
2Against the harm in what He has created,
3The harm in the night when darkness gathers,
4The harm in witches when they blow on knots,
5The harm in the envier when he envies.”
