The Disbelievers

This decisive surah establishes clear boundaries for freedom of conscience, completely rejecting a pagan compromise to mix faiths by firmly separating their paths of worship. It takes its name from the opening command: Say, 'O disbelievers...'

1Say [Prophet], “Disbelievers:
2I do not worship what you worship,
3You do not worship what I worship,
4I will never worship what you worship,
5You will never worship what I worship:
6You have your religion and I have mine.”
